If you watched the interview on 60 Minutes, when Bill Clinton mentions that they tried to get to bin Laden and in fact that he had signed an order for lethal force to be used against bin Laden and his henchment...isn't the story here that 'he failed?'
Wouldn't that be the story if the interview were with a Republican former president?
Isn't the story that, perhaps, if Bill had had his mind in the game, he might have done a better job in 1998 in protecting America, killing bin Laden, and maybe keeping 9/11 from ever happening?
Isn't it right to include in the body count all the people that died on Sept. 11 in addition to those who have died in the war....and shouldn't that be (using Maureen Dowd's logic) laid at the feet of President Clinton, not President Bush?
