Oh yeah, we're at war.
The president yesterday did the right thing as he has done recently before...long time coming...but the president referred to the enemy by it's real name: IslamoFacists. "We are at war with IslamoFacists".
Now we can start fixing the problem, fighting the enemy...the true enemy. As we have said for years, you don't fight an 'Ism' you fight 'Ists'.
This is a real enemy more dangerous than Kim Jong Il with nuclear weapons. This enemy is open and proud about it's goals...the destruction of the West...the destruction of Israel...killing little satan (Israel) and big satan (the US).
They are a radical arm of Islam, but Muslims just the same. In truth, to them, there is only one true Islam: that which kills the Infidels and brings a world under Muslim rule. It's truly a Holy War...a Jihad...they have chosen it...and we must win it.
This is a war for the west...a war for freedom...a war against evil.
Read what Joel Rosenberg has to say about this is about August 22nd.
The president has started calling the enemy by it's name. Now it's time to start fighting the enemy.

Church Discipline...can it go too far?
We had the chance to talk this week to Todd Wagner, Pastor at Watermark Community Church in Dallas. (if you missed it, the interview is podcast)
In a world where church discipline is almost non-existent, is it about time someone stood up and did something like this? Or can a church go too far? Is Watermark going too far?
(click here to read the Dallas Morning News article...click here to take our little poll about this.)

Marriage Amendment Fails
Well, it's over...for now...perhaps until there's another election year.
It was not going to pass...but that doesn't mean it was without meaning. We found out how the senators voted (here)...and we found out that the only two senators to not vote were Kerry and Edwards...seems appropriate they might want to have it both ways.
I am disappointed but not surprised.
49 voted for the amendment...48 against.
Reminder why it has become necessary.
